- Honey & Wax is comproised from the top wax layer of the honeycomb frame (sealing wax) and the accompanying raw honey. This wax layer is rich in antibacterial and antifungal properties. The wax is consumed by a spoon, and some of it is chewed; a portion melts in the mouth, and the excess is spat out. Excessive swallowing of the wax is not recommended
